Dog of the Month
Hugo

Hugo has never known a loving home in his 5 yrs. His previous owner kept him in a pen all the time. He was part of a cruelty seizure. After being removed from his home, he spent another 90 days at the animal shelter while waiting for the court to release him to rescue. After all he's been thru, Hugo is one friendly, goofy and sweet boy. He has your typical hound bark. We don't know if he's even been in a home, but we know he would appreciate becoming part of your family. We would like to see him have a big fenced yard to run around in. Something he never had before. Please open your heart to this boy. Hugo is good with other dogs. He pulls slightly on a leash, but is learning.

Cat of the Month
Lizzo

Meet Lizzo! Lizzo s a 3 yr old very sweet black cat with some white. Her previous owner passed and she found herself in a shelter in Va. She loves to explore and is affectionate.

The Second Hand Store is open during Adoption Hours, Friday through Sunday 11 am to 3 pm. All proceeds go directly to benefit the animals at the center.  Donations for the store and for our animals are gladly accepted during adoption hours only.
